Craft That Vision
The Local Comprehensive Plan Committee (LCPC) will hold a forum this Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Truro Community Center.
“We’ll be working together to craft the vision statement for how we want Truro to look,” said Mara Glatzel, chair of the committee. Leading up to this meeting, the town has used surveys and a postcard project to gather the public’s views.
The questions community members will be asked to discuss at the meeting include “What are your hopes and dreams for the next five to ten years in Truro?” and “What, if anything, would you like to see changed in the next five to ten years in Truro?” Glatzel said. “It’s about getting everybody in the room together,” she added, and “getting to craft that vision together in real time.”
Glatzel said she hopes that people who come to the meeting will leave with a better sense of the LCPC’s history, who its members are, and what its role is. Bagels and child care will be provided at the event. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
