Payomet Performing Arts Center invites kids ages three to six to “Nature Ninja Tots: Where Circus Skills Meet Mother Nature!” on Friday, Aug. 12, 9 a.m. Taught by professional circus artists, the program explores the relationship between play, movement, and nature. The Truro Public Library will host a viewing of The Janes on Friday, Aug. 12, 7:30 p.m. The film tells the true story of a group of women in 1972 who were arrested and charged for serving women who needed safe, affordable, illegal abortions.

The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater hosts comedian Jimmy Tingle for one night only on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m. Tingle, who has appeared on Conan O’Brien and the Tonight Show, will be performing a set about post-pandemic life called “Humor for Humanity.” The show includes reflections on Tingle’s childhood in Cambridge.
