Street Talk With Sheila Barbone

Sheila Barbone’s first solo show at Kobalt Gallery, 366 Commercial St. in Provincetown, opens Friday, July 23rd and runs through July 29th. Titled “NYC to Provincetown,” it consists of paintings of rural and urban street scenes, playing the balm of Provincetown off the kinetic energy of New York City. With a lively brush and natural palette, she invokes their disparate temperaments while revealing their distinct charms through perspectives that lead the imagination past the panels they’re painted on.
