A memorial service celebrating the life of the late Rt. Rev. Morgan Porteus, XI episcopal bishop of Connecticut and longtime Cape Cod resident, will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Chapel of St. James the Fisherman on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
Bishop Porteus was one of the founding clergy of the summer chapel. He died on Dec. 15, 2019 at his home in Wellfleet at age 102. The pandemic necessitated this postponed memorial.
