Elected Positions Open
Nomination papers are available for five positions on the May 2021 election ballot. As the town hall remains closed to the public due to the pandemic, anyone interested in running should contact the town clerk’s office at 774-801-3225. The deadline to return nomination papers is 4 p.m. on March 30.
The following positions are up for election:
Select board, one three-year term. Incumbent Jamie Demetri has announced she will run for a second term.
Library trustee, one three-year term. The incumbent is listed as Marilyn Ace/Willow Shire.
Housing authority, one five-year term, incumbent James McMakin.
Elementary school committee, one three-year term, incumbent Mary Lou Sette.
Nauset Regional School Committee, one three-year term, incumbent Amy Handel.

Town Clerk Cindy Nicholson expects affidavit postcards to request mail-in ballots for the March 30 district-wide election on the Nauset Regional High School building project and Proposition 2½ exemption to be mailed to voters this week.
