The Provincetown Historic District Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
Public Hearings will be held for the following applications requesting a Certificate to be issued in accordance with the Provincetown Historic District Commission established under the General By-Laws, Chapter 15 of the Town of Provincetown.
HDC 22-5
Application by Ted Smith, on behalf of Stephen Syta, requesting to construct a new dormer on a north elevation mirroring an existing south elevation dormer and to install solar panels on an existing south dormer roof on the structure located at 5 Pleasant Street.
HDC 22-11
Application by Brian Calhoon, on behalf of Rainbow Connection Realty, LLC, requesting to replace balconies on the south facade and to reconstruct the west facade decks, balconies and stairwell to include a lift so that the first floor becomes more accessible on the structure located at 174 Bradford Street.

Lamb et vir., requesting Site Plan Review pursuant to Article 2, Section 2320 (B), High Elevation Protection District (B), of the Zoning By-Laws to reconfigure entry steps, an entry vestibule, and a stair from a west facing deck down to grade, to add a covered porch in front of the modified entry vestibule on the east elevation and an outdoor shower, and to enlarge two dormers on the property located at 9 Telegraph Hill Road.

Citizen Petitioned Articles
The Town of Provincetown will be hosting two informational sessions to assist citizens with drafting petition articles for the April 4, 2022, Annual Town Meeting. A staff member will be available on Thursday, February 10, 2022, and Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. to answer any questions regarding the process and writing of a petitioned article. Appointments are required.

Discussions may also include fees, rates, and insurances.

The Provincetown Police Department is now accepting employment applications for the 2022 summer season for the positions of Summer Police Officer.
Requirements for Summer Police Officers include:
High School Graduate
Drivers License
Massachusetts Reserve Intermittent Police Academy Certification
Current CPR and First Responder Certification
Current Firearms Qualification is also desirable
The Summer Police Officer positions are 40 hour/week (5 on/2 off) positions on a variety of different schedules. Applicants will attend 80 hours of paid training upon selection. Applicants must be available from Mid May through Mid August.
Current rates of pay are: $21.55 per hour.
